The River

The Sana River is located in the catchment area of the Una, the largest river in Bosnia. Beautifully nestled between the Dragon Rocks, the Sana alternates between shallow riffles and deep pools, with open vegetation and variety giving this river a very special charm. No matter where you look, the water is practically dotted with hot spots. Water depth in the riffles ranges between 1 and 1.5 meters, while the pools can quickly reach depths of 5 meters. Of course, there are also areas that can suddenly become deeper. The riverbanks are very pleasant and easy to walk along. Moving to a new spot is quick and effortless, offering a wide variety of options. With short distances, no valuable fishing time is lost!

The Huchen Population

The huchen population in the Sana is excellent. During fishing on Christmas Eve not long ago, our clients landed and released 7 huchen in a very short time. The fish can often be seen in the clear river water, making it even more exciting to fish here.

Guiding

With the support of our top guides from the “Cast & Believe” team, it is entirely possible to land several fish in a single day! Excellent service and personal attention complete the experience in a comfortable setting with a fantastic atmosphere.

The Accommodation

The accommodation in the modern Huchenangler Lodges is located right on the riverbank. There is also the option to stay in a 4-star hotel directly on site.
